The City of Va. Beach requires all coaches and Asst. Coaches to complete several training classes and a background check prior to participating in any practices or games. This policy is designed to protect our kids from predatory situations.
ACHR fully supports this program.

Coach & Assistant Coach: All coaches 18 years of age and older must complete the Application package and all training module. Coaches Badges are good for 3 years. Coaches should re-apply at least 2 weeks prior to their badges expiration.
Junior Assistant Coach: Persons under 18 years old can apply for a Junior Assistant Coach Badge. Requirements for a Junior Assistant badge are 1. A letter of intent from the youth explaining why they want to be a coach. The letter should be signed by the applicant and the sports coordinator or chairman 2. A copy of the completion certificate of Concussion training. 3. A copy of the completion Bullying training completion certificate. The letter of intent and completion certificates for the 2 training modules should be sent in a single email to: [email protected] and CC: [email protected].
